Good News from Shawn Carney, Campaign Director 40 Days for Life

Dear Julie,

Things have been quite frenzied this week --
receiving record numbers of applications for this
fall's 40 Days for Life campaign -- but I had to
share amazing news that, with God's grace, could be
repeated in YOUR community.

I just received word from our local 40 Days for Life
campaign leaders in Fayetteville, Arkansas -- and got
confirmation from their local media -- that their
city's one and only surgical abortion facility is
CLOSING!

Praise God!

During three previous 40 Days for Life campaigns in
Fayetteville, the abortionist grew more and more
aggressive towards the prayer volunteers, taunting
and ridiculing them in person -- and in the media ...

... but they did not react; they persisted in
peaceful vigil and remained to pray for the unborn,
the women entering the facility -- and especially for
the abortionist himself.

And NOW ... that facility is closing down!

for Life vigils:

All the glory belongs to God ... and please remember
to pray for the conversion of the abortionist -- and
for all women who have been hurt by abortion since
that facility opened in Fayetteville.

If you haven't already, there are only FOUR DAYS left
to apply to lead a 40 Days for Life campaign in your
city from September 22 to October 31. The application
period closes at midnight this Saturday, July 31 ...
so there's still time for YOUR city to get involved.

Imagine what it will be like to pray for an end to
abortion in front of the abortion facility in your
town ... and then receive the wonderful news that it
is closing its doors.

How will you feel?

How humbling will it be to see God use the simplicity
of prayer, fasting, outreach, and vigil to bring an
end to abortion in your area?

In Fayetteville, faithful prayer warriors prayed for
a day like today. They were faithful, and that day is
now here -- the surgical abortion facility in their
town is closing.

Maybe YOUR town will be next.

What a reminder of what God can accomplish when we
are faithful. I cannot think of a better time to
bring 40 Days for Life to your city than a day like
today, with amazing news like this.

If you haven't already applied to lead a campaign in
your community, you can do it now at:

FYI--Why Socialized Medicine May Not Work with Aging Population

Read the following article as posted in LifeNews for an indication of what the United States may encounter with our new health care system.

Canada Rethinking Pro-Rationing Socialized Medicine Because of Rising Costs
Ottawa, Canada (LifeNews.com) -- Pressured by an aging population and the need to rein in budget deficits, Canada’s provinces are taking tough measures to curb healthcare costs, a trend that could erode the principles of the socialized medicine system that has produced long waits and rationing of care.
British Columbia is replacing block grants to hospitals with fee-for-procedure payments and Quebec has a new flat health tax and a proposal for payments on each medical visit — an idea that critics say is an illegal user fee.
And a few provinces are also experimenting with private funding for procedures such as hip, knee and cataract surgery.
It’s likely just a start as the provinces, responsible for delivering healthcare, cope with the demands of a retiring baby-boom generation. Official figures show that senior citizens will make up 25 percent of the population by 2036.
Conservative writer Ed Morrissey of Hot Air commented on the news.
"American fans of single-payer health care have long held Canada as an example of success in both providing health care and controlling costs. Canadians have more reason to question both, however, especially the latter. The provinces, which bear a significant portion of those costs, may end some services and curtail others as ballooning costs have exposed the cradle-to-grave system as unsustainable," he noted.

Pro-Life Majority Is the New Normal!

Great news! The Gallup organization has released the results of a new poll, which confirms the results of their previous two polls. More U.S. citizens consider themselves pro-life than pro-abortion. For more information, click on the link.

Happy Mother's Day!

We all have mothers. So, whether they're still with us or have gone to their reward,

Happy Mother's Day!

There's another part of our population that often gets overlooked on this holiday. I appreciate what Stacy Massey of Abortion Recovery International wrote in her thoughtful letter. See it at:
